As the groups clash and cooperate, the story expands into a dark fantasy adventure about survival, redemption, and the cost of eternal life. The franchise began as a manga titled Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku and later grew through side stories, spin-offs, and novels that explore different corners of the island and its cast. The anime adaptation brought the tale to a wider audience, with a second season continuing the journey.
