Synopsis
Wise Man’s Grandchild follows Shin Wolford, a young man reborn into a fantasy world of magic and nobility after a sudden death. Rescued and raised by the legendary wizard Merlin Wolford, Shin grows up surrounded by extraordinary mentors and develops astonishing magical talent—so much that his adoptive grandfather worries he lacks ordinary social sense. When Shin enrolls in a magic academy, he begins to build friendships and a found family among talented classmates, including a princess and other aspiring mages. Their school life is bright and comedic, but the wider world holds political tensions, dangerous monsters, and threats that test Shin’s overwhelming power and his desire to protect the people close to him. The franchise grows beyond Shin’s central journey through extra stories, prequels, and spin-offs that widen the setting and give supporting characters and other eras room to shine, while keeping the core appeal of warm comedy, romance, and fantasy action.
