That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Satoru Mikami, an ordinary Japanese salaryman who is stabbed and reincarnates in a fantasy world as a blind, boneless slime. Named Rimuru Tempest after befriending the storm dragon Veldora, he discovers unique skills that let him absorb and mimic abilities. Rather than seek vengeance or conquest, Rimuru gradually builds a home for monsters and outcasts, using diplomacy, invention, and overwhelming adaptability to turn a small goblin village into a thriving nation.

The world is divided among humans, monsters, demons, and powerful nations, and Rimuru's attempts to protect his people draw him into politics, war, and ancient conspiracies. He forms alliances, confronts Demon Lords, and works to create a society where different species can coexist, even as greater threats test that dream.

Across light novels, manga, anime seasons, films, and spin-offs, the story expands from Rimuru's personal rise to ensemble adventures, side stories, and parallel perspectives. Later arcs raise stakes, introduce new allies and rivals, and explore the wider world, while the core remains Rimuru's leadership and the community he nurtures.
