BLEACH Colorful!: Gotei Juusan Yatai Daisakusen! is a one-episode OVA set within the broader BLEACH franchise. It is not the beginning of the franchise or a remake of the main anime. Instead, it is a compact animated adaptation of several chapters from Colourful Bleach, placing it alongside the franchise’s supplementary material rather than presenting a new version of the core television story.

Released in 2008 as part of the TV Animation BLEACH 5th Anniversary Box, this twelve-minute entry functions as a short companion production. Its source is manga material, and its format distinguishes it from both the main BLEACH television series and the franchise’s feature films. The title is also associated with the Jump Festa 2008 name, reflecting its event and package-release context. As an individual work, it is best understood as a brief adaptation of Colourful Bleach content for existing BLEACH viewers, rather than a self-contained starting point or a continuation that requires a separate new storyline.
