Overview

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a multimedia franchise represented in Volluble by 39 connected works across 6 media categories. This hub organizes the franchise by release chronology and gives newcomers a clear starting point.

Synopsis

Yu-Gi-Oh! follows Yugi Muto, a kind-hearted student who solves the ancient Millennium Puzzle and awakens a mysterious, confident duelist within him. Together they confront rivals, criminals, and supernatural threats using high-stakes games—especially the card game Duel Monsters—where clever rules, risky gambles, and trust in friends decide the outcome. At its heart is a battle between light and darkness, with ancient Egyptian mysteries and modern rivalries shaping Yugi's growth.

The franchise expands far beyond that first story. Later series introduce new heroes, settings, and dueling systems: GX moves to a duel academy, 5D's rides into a futuristic city, Zexal and Arc-V explore other dimensions and summoning methods, while VRAINS enters virtual reality. SEVENS and GO RUSH!! lighten the tone with Rush Duels and new generations. Movies, manga spin-offs, and card-game stories revisit old characters or explore entirely different corners of the world, but the core remains the same: friendship, strategy, and believing in the heart of the cards.
