Synopsis
Jujutsu Kaisen centers on Yuji Itadori, a kindhearted high schooler with freakish physical strength who becomes entangled with the hidden world of jujutsu sorcery after swallowing a cursed object: a severed finger of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Surviving possession, Yuji becomes Sukuna's vessel and is recruited by Tokyo Jujutsu High. Under the eccentric Satoru Gojo, he joins Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki to exorcise Curses—monstrous beings born from human negativity—while searching for Sukuna's remaining fingers.
The conflict widens as cursed spirits and rogue sorcerers target Yuji and his allies, forcing them into brutal battles that test their ideals and bonds. The prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu and the cursed spirit Rika, adding another perspective on the same hidden world. Across manga, anime seasons, films, and light novels, the franchise expands from school missions and exorcisms into larger confrontations, including the Shibuya Incident and the Culling Game, while keeping its focus on young sorcerers confronting grief, responsibility, and the cost of power.
